Troubleshooting

FiveM Server Works Locally but Friends Can’t Join (Checklist)

Localhost OK, public fail: bind address, UDP on 30120, CGNAT, and why managed game hosting skips home-router NAT.

Checklist

  1. Friends use public IP:port, not 127.0.0.1.
  2. endpoint_add_tcp/udp aligns with the allocation.
  3. 30120 TCP+UDP open (managed: yes).
  4. DIY home host: check CGNAT — if so, move to managed game hosting.
  5. Test with connect IP:port from a phone network.

Frequently Asked Questions

Localhost success means?

FXServer runs — public path still needs correct bind + ports.

CGNAT?

Common on home ISPs for DIY hosts; Chapter22 managed nodes are not behind your home CGNAT.

UDP forgotten?

30120 needs TCP and UDP.

Chapter22 FiveM hosting

Deploy a managed FiveM server.

Deploy on Chapter22 FiveM hosting when you want a managed Pterodactyl panel instead of babysitting a full VPS.
