Minecraft Backups and World Restores on Pterodactyl

Schedule backups, download worlds, and restore safely before risky updates or wipes.

What to include

  • world/, world_nether/, world_the_end/ (names may vary)
  • server.properties, ops.json, whitelist.json, banned-*.json
  • plugins/ or mods/ + their configs

Panel backup

  1. Stop or use a consistent backup feature if offered.
  2. Create a backup from Pterodactyl.
  3. Download a copy before major modpack upgrades.

Restore

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Restore the backup (or replace world folders carefully).
  3. Start and verify join + inventory sanity in a test account.

Schedule

Daily backups for active SMPs; extra backups before wipes and pack updates.
