Palworld Server Not Showing in Community Browser

Fix missing Community listings: query port, public lobby flags, name uniqueness, and crossplay filters.

Checklist

  1. Server is online in Pterodactyl with a healthy console.
  2. Egg startup includes `-publiclobby` (Chapter22 egg does).
  3. Friends use the same platform filter as ALLOW_CONNECT_PLATFORM (Steam / Xbox).
  4. Try a unique SERVER_NAME — duplicate names are easy to miss in busy lists.
  5. Prefer Direct Connect with panel IP:port while diagnosing list issues.
  6. DIY only: confirm UDP on the game port is reachable externally (Linux firewall).

VERIFY — Chapter22 egg 32 omits a dedicated Steam query 27015 bind. Community visibility is lobby-based; do not invent a query port in firewall docs for managed servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Direct Connect works but list fails?

Game port is fine — browser/list path differs. Confirm -publiclobby and unique name.

Is 27015 required?

Egg 32 does not bind a separate 27015 query port. Do not open a random 27015 unless you configured it.

Crossplay filters?

Platform filters (Steam vs Xbox) can hide servers — try Direct Connect and matching ALLOW_CONNECT_PLATFORM.

Need help?

If you are stuck after following this guide, open a ticket from the Chapter22 client area with the exact error, the port or DNS change you made, and whether the service listens locally (ss / Resource Monitor) but fails externally.
