Mods & Crossplay

Palworld Admin Password, Whitelist, and RCON/REST

Set AdminPassword, prefer REST API over deprecated RCON, and never expose 8212 publicly.

Admin defaults

  • Set a strong AdminPassword in Pterodactyl Startup.
  • Use the panel console for day-to-day admin when possible.
  • If you enable REST API tooling, bind/firewall so 8212/TCP is not world-open.
  • Treat egg RCON_PORT (25575 default) as private — the egg wires local rcon for console bridging.

Never paste admin passwords into public Discord channels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Admin password where?

Startup variable ADMIN_PASSWORD on the Chapter22 egg — use a strong unique value.

RCON vs REST?

Legacy RCON (egg default port 25575) is dated; REST API tooling is preferred when you need automation — keep it private.

Public 8212?

Never. Admin APIs belong behind allowlists or localhost-only tools.
